Hunting with bird dogs is my passion. Working dogs are an integral part of my life, and I make it a priority to keep them engaged and in shape throughout the year. By hunting a variety of game year-round, I can fine-tune and desensitize the dogs, so they are well-prepared when fall arrives. I love having a career that allows me to bring my dogs everywhere and incorporate training into every aspect of life. Each hunt I plan is centered around giving the dogs an opportunity to work; I’m more focused on getting the dogs on birds than on the actual hunting itself. Throughout the summer, I organize my family trips that revolve around what gets the dogs the best exposure. Things like going to the river and working with the dogs in the currents, pigEon hunting, or holding steady during a skeet shoot, help me to ensure the dogs are turn-key come opening day.
