Who I am

My name is Seth Simpson, and I founded Gem State Kennels in 2015. I have been training animals my whole life. it started with teaching my guinea pigs tricks at age 6, to wild pigs and cows how to “heel.” then, AS I GOT OLDER, i taught the family dogs to fetch and hunt for me. My passion for animal TRAINING blossomed into this business when friends and family encouraged me to use my skills. At 18, I quit my job to connect with clients on Craigslist. Once I trained a few dogs, word began to spread, and I’ve been busy and dedicated to this rewarding career ever since.

In 2024, I bought my dream kennel property, AND WE ARE CURRENTLY WORKING ON EXPANDING IT TO FIT EVERY DOG'S NEEDS. I love that the dogs are a part of my home life, and i can be involved with the DAY-TO-DAY life of my family while working.

My passion for hunting with dogs only fueled my interest in dog training. I now specialize in advanced obedience, working closely with families to help them achieve the ideal companion they envision!
